Table of Contents

With local pizza spots tucked in nearly every corner of the city, we have the go-to options for your slice of pizza heaven.

Columbus-style

If you are only well-versed in New York or Chicago style pizza, let us introduce you to Columbus-style pizza. Known for its ultra thin crust, square cut + edge-to-edge toppings, our top recommendations for Columbus-style are Rubino’s Pizza and Tommy’s Pizza. Pro tip: Rubino’s, known for their old school atmosphere, accepts cash only.

Unique toppings

If you’re looking to step out of the ordinary with pizza toppings, CBUS has options and we couldn’t choose just one. The brand-new taco pizza from Taft’s Brewpourium can satisfy your taco and pizza craving all at once. Some of the toppings on this flavorful pie are red onion, jalapeños, tomato and chipotle sour cream + your choice of chicken or chorizo.

Additionally, the meatball pizza from Yellow Brick Pizza is another unique must-try. Topped with housemade, gluten-free meatballs, mozzarella, ricotta + fresh basil, the flavors come together perfectly on this CBUS classic.

Pizza by the slice

One of our favorite pizza by the slice restaurants is Borgata Pizza Cafe, with three Columbus locations (including one inside Budd Dairy Food Hall.) These huge, New York style pizzas can be ordered as a whole pie or individually by the slice if you just want a taste. Pro tip: Try the lunch special that includes two large pizzas by the slice + a soft drink starting at only $8.

Late-night pizza

A great late-night pizza spot in Columbus is right in the name — Mikey’s Late Night Slice. Open until 2:30 a.m. at five locations in Columbus, the 18” pies or individual slices (and variety of dipping sauces) will satisfy any late night craving. Pro tip: Be sure to check in for their weekly “Pizza of the Week.”
