The stage is set. The Ohio Stadium stage, that is. With four back-to-back shows in The Shoe across the next week, this marks a historic run of concerts for the 101-year-old stadium. Here’s what fans need to know:
The upcoming shows
From pop to rock to country, a wide range of sounds will hit the stage this week, including:
- Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks | Saturday, Aug. 5 | $350-$3,000
- Motley Crue and Def Leppard | Tuesday, Aug. 8 | $50-$4,250
- Morgan Wallen | Friday, Aug. 11 and Saturday, Aug. 12 | $175-$600

The economic impact
In total, concerts at The Shoe brought in $100+ million to central Ohio this summer. These upcoming shows will conclude a full summer of stars taking the stage at Ohio Stadium, including Buckeye Country Superfest with George Strait and Chris Stapleton.
“It’s great to see how Columbus really shows up for live music,” stated Dave Redelberger with Columbus Arena Sports & Entertainment . “This will allow us to keep bringing big acts to central Ohio. We love being able to use Ohio Stadium as a true community asset beyond the football Saturdays.”
Navigating the busy week ahead
From Friday, Aug. 4 to Saturday, Aug. 12, the Olentangy Trail reroute will be moved east to Tuttle Park Place. Additional roadways near the stadium will close and parking will be limited.
Heavy traffic is anticipated on campus on the days of the concerts starting as early as 1 p.m.
