We’re trying not to go bananas, but a new baby gorilla is coming soon to the Columbus Zoo.

The Columbus Zoo & Aquarium took to Instagram to announce that Sue, a female adult gorilla, is pregnant and due sometime this summer. As a result, Sue is now getting even more TLC than normal as the Zoo’s Congo Expedition team is providing daily monitoring.

While there was no gender reveal, we can thank Ktembe, a male gorilla, for the surprise. The Zoo said he is the proud father, and you can congratulate him on your next visit.

As for Sue, the Zoo said gorillas don’t commonly “show” like humans do. While they gain some weight, it’s difficult to notice any significant changes. That’s why an ultrasound was conducted, and it confirmed the pregnancy.

More details about Sue, Ktembe, and their new bundle of joy will be announced via social media.
