What is Columbus-style pizza?

While most people are familiar with New York or Chicago-style pizza, our very own Columbus-style is an ultra thin, crispy crust with toppings that go all the way to the edges. Think: Donatos with its thin, circular pie with square cuts.

Who invented Columbus-style pizza?

Brothers Dan and Jim Massucci, who opened Massey’s, and Romeo Siri, who opened Romeo’s Italian Restaurant, are often credited for creating Columbus-style pizza back in 1949. To this day, Massey’s Pizza still operates in nearly every Columbus suburb including Hilliard, Dublin, Gahanna, Powell, and Westerville.
