It’s time to go racing, Columbus. On Fri., April 1-Sun., April 3, Hidden Columbus is taking over a local ice skating rink and transforming it into an icy go-karting course. Here’s what you need to know before you race past your friends to grab that checkered flag.

Know before you go-kart 🏎

Alice Noble Ice Arena, located on 851 Oldman Rd., is where the action will take place — but first you’ll have to purchase a ticket for $65. When buying tickets, you’ll be given the option to choose between one of five time slots available in each hour across the three-day event. Just remember only eight karts can be on the ice at one time and each race takes about 12 minutes.

Racers must be 14+ years old, 52+ inches tall, and have a maximum weight of 225 lbs.

To add to the fun, Hidden Columbus will be dishing out prizes for best costume throughout the weekend. It’s best to look the part — you might find yourself tossing bananas at other racers. Pro tip: Columbus Costume Store on 851 Bethel Rd. offers adult and children-sized costumes.

The early bird gets the win 🏁

Head to the rink early where a team on hand to give tips and tricks so you don’t spin-out on each turn (results not guaranteed). Plus, for those waiting on their race or racer, there will be games set up around the course for extra entertainment.
