Fall in Columbus is just so great, we had to do two date night guidesthis season — because, hey, two is better than one.
By now, we’re sure you know the drill — we’ll pick a neighborhood and give you + your date one place each for dinner, drinks, and an activity. This time, you can swap out your dress shoes for tennis shoes because we’re getting active in Clintonville.
Activity 🏓
Pickle & Chill, 880 W. Henderson Rd.
After months of anticipation, this indoor facility withsix courts is now open. If you’ve never played, pickleball is like life-sized ping-pong played on a smaller tennis court, and it’s gained popularity thanks to its relatively easy learning curve. Reservations can be made online with equipment on site, and classes are also available.

City of Columbus plans protected bike lanes for Mt. Vernon Avenue

A new protected bike lane on Mt. Vernon Avenue spanning from Hamilton Avenue to Phillips Street could soon be a new project for the City of Columbus.
According to local reports, the city is finalizing these plans which would create a one mile, two-way traffic bike lane that would be protected from traffic. Through the construction, the city hopes to replace damaged sidewalks in the area as well as add considerations for public artandstreet lighting.
We also discovered the city is planning on running a request for proposal — better known as an RFP in the construction world — sometime in December of this year. A request for proposal is typically for government agencies who are looking for contractors to bid on the project.
