Columbus was named an emerging market by Newmark, a global real estate company, in its 2023 US Data Center Market Overview. This comprehensive guide examines key regions for current projects and future growth to determine hot markets. In short, Columbus has been hot.
“Even before Intel announced plans in January 2022 ... the Columbus metro area had quietly emerged as a prime location for mega investments in future-looking industries,” reads the Newmark report.
So how did the city earn this recognition? Let’s take a look at the data.
Columbus data center inventory has grown 146% between 2012-2021.
Columbus currently has 40+ data centers in operation, owned by 25 different companies.
There are 11,000+ acres of commercial land available for more development, nearly the size of Manhattan.
The perfect sauce to celebrate National Hot Sauce Day today: Sobremesa’s Citrus Habanero Hot Sauce. This small-batch mole and salsa company combined ripe citrus with spicy habanero to make a bright, fiery sauce that tingles the taste buds.
I really do love our local coffee scene. It’s the first thing I grab when I get back to the city from vacation or a road trip. And that got me thinking — what’s your go-to, Columbus-specific comfort food or drink? Tell me about it.
