Columbus homes for sale that are below the median selling price

The annual income needed to purchase the average home in the Columbus area is $90,276, according to a recent Redfin report.

If the average home costs $331,000 in CBUS — what does that get you? We decided to do some digging, and these five homes are on the market and below the average cost.

$295,000, 3471 Treehouse Ln.

This Canal Winchester home has four bedrooms, three bedrooms, a wood burning fireplace, and 1,800 sqft of space. It was built in 1978 but has been recently renovated with stainless steel kitchen appliances and new carpet.

$304,900, 283 N. 18th St.

Built in 2022, this 1,032-sqft new-build offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and close proximity to downtown, German Village, Bexley, and Olde Towne East.

$305,900, 459 N. Ohio Ave.

This 1,691-sqft home was built in 1920, but has recently been remodeled to feature four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a front porch, and fenced-in backyard.

$310,000, 1021 Pennsylvania Ave.

This home has some history as a 1900-build, but with modern updates like flooring, paint, and carpeting, you may never know. Find three bedrooms and two bathrooms at this 1,248-sqft house.

$324,900, 1609 E. 12th Ave.

This 2,016-sqft brand new home was built in 2023 near Easton and features three bedrooms and three bathrooms with modern finishes throughout.

  • Wyman Woods Park is hosting Fall Fest on Thursday, Nov. 2 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Expect hayrides, food trucks, and fall-themed activities at this free family-friendly (and dog-friendly) event.

  • Dunkin’ — the Massachusetts-based coffee and donuts chain — opened a new location at 3646 E. Broad St. in Whitehall. The café and bake shop continues to establish itself in CBUS, with almost 20 locations in the area. (Columbus Business First)

  • Nate Bargatze, a Grammy-nominated stand-up comedian, is bringing “The Be Funny Tour” to Nationwide Arena on January 12, 2024. Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m.

  • Nickel Creek — a Grammy Award-winning trio featuring a mandolinist, violinist, and guitarist — will play at Mershon Auditorium on February 15, 2024. Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m.

  • In a quest for Halloween decor around the city, a reader let us know about a yard on Sarsi Drive in London with a “Dawn of the Dead” theme, featuring a Taylor Swift concert scene. If any Swifties venture out to see it, be sure to let us know.

  • Did you know that Luke Fickell — head coach of the Wisconsin Badgers football team — played at OSU in the 90s? He was also an assistant coach, followed by interim head coach of the Buckeyes in 2011. Ohio State travels to Madison to face Fickell on Saturday, Oct. 28.
